Learn to Cook Good Things - Cookery Courses
Follow on Practical Course for 5 ½ Day Graduates

  • An intensive hands-on cookery course for those who have completed the 5.5 DKMP and want to go further.

  • Only ten students per course.

  • Cost: €475

  • Dates: 6th - 7th March (includes dinner previous evening, Friday 5th, at 8:00pm).

  • Course Times:
Day 1: 10:00 am arrival for 10:30 am start – 5:30 pm (ish) finish.
Day 2: 10:00 am start – 3:30 pm (ish) finish.

Ok, here it is, the follow on class for those of you who have done the 5.5. Some of you have been asking now for at least a couple of years and the 2008 May class had some very persistent and determined students and I always give under pressure!

It will be fun to have you back for a couple more days of cooking as it will be so easy as you are now all seasoned chefs. Now it will be time to knock up a soufflé, some more tarts, a posh soup, roast a Ballydehob duck and grill a few Ahakista Scallops and bake a fluffy cake to take home.

I have decided that you should try and arrive the evening before and have supper with me in the café to catch up with news etc so the next morning, after we have coked some interesting breakfast dishes and washed them down with some good coffee we can get stuck in to some serious cooking!!! Yes, you can still invite a guest for dinner on the first (or is this now the second) evening to sample the advanced dishes, especially the selection of soufflés you will whip up at the end of the evening.

Normally we would only take eight in a practical class but due to the high standard of our Graduates and demand for this class we are going to squeeze 10 into the kitchen and if this date fills up we will run another the next month.
